What "green cleaning" means to us
- Plant-based, biodegradable formulations for everyday cleaning — surfaces, floors, glass and washrooms — rather than petrochemical detergents.
- No unnecessary harsh chemicals. We don't use bleach or ammonia-based products for routine cleaning. Stronger descalers and degreasers are reserved for the jobs that genuinely need them (limescale, commercial kitchens) and rinsed thoroughly.
- Concentrates, not ready-mixed bottles, cutting plastic waste and transport emissions.
- Microfibre systems that clean effectively with less product and less water, laundered and reused rather than thrown away.
- Pure-water window cleaning — literally just filtered water, no detergents entering drains.
- HEPA-filter vacuums that capture fine dust and allergens rather than recirculating them.
Why it matters for homes
Children and pets spend a lot of time at floor level, touching surfaces and putting things in their mouths. Residues from harsh cleaning products end up there. Green products reduce that exposure, reduce airborne irritants, and are better for anyone with asthma, eczema or chemical sensitivities. Where we're honest about the limits
Some jobs need more than plant-based products. Heavy limescale, commercial kitchen grease, mould and sanitisation after illness call for targeted professional chemistry, used correctly and safely. In those cases we use the least aggressive effective product, apply it only where needed, ventilate and rinse. "Eco-friendly" should mean thoughtful, not ineffective.
